Awesome opportunities!

Posted in Home, Mmmmmmm fooooood tagged , , , , at 3:24 pm by mottoblasco

In just 2 days I’ve been blessed to have 2 opportunities to share my knowledge to do God’s work.  First is an opportunity to help a family who has many needs and who want to know of God more.  What better way to show who God is than by helping those in need.  I am so excited and pray that this sweet family will see God’s grace thru myself & others who want to help as well.

My 2nd opportunity is to help in stocking a food pantry.  Although I cannot likely stock it alone, I have the tools that can help others learn an inexpensive way to help stock the pantry.  Again, this will help many others who are in need and pray they will see the kindness they are given is because God calls us to it & return are blessed.

New recipes? Yes please!

Posted in Mmmmmmm fooooood tagged , , , at 3:09 pm by mottoblasco

I need anyone & everyones help.  I want part of this blog to be about food, cause I love it.  I easily get bored and want to try something new.  So this is where you come in.  I want your recipes, all kinds of them!  I want to try at least 1 new recipe every week.  I don’t care if it’s a great breakfast, lunch, snack, dessert, vegetarian, meat filled, side dish, bread, special drink, healthy(we like trying these)…u send it, I’ll make it!

I do realize it is kind of Julie-&-Julia-esque(although I have not yet seen the movie itself) but sometimes we need inspiration.  So will you help?

Please post the recipe as a comment or send me an e-mail…I hope to hear from everyone soon!

Raspberry-Green Tea

Posted in Mmmmmmm fooooood tagged , , , at 9:31 am by mottoblasco

I love Raspberry Tea that you get in restaurants but wanted to make my own, w/ few ingredients. Couldn’t find a recipe I wanted to try so I made one up & it turned out great! That’s a first, usually my made-up recipes aren’t great.

1 c. frozen/fresh raspberries
2 c. water
Blend & strain(I used a Gracie Jui Jitsu juice bag, or try a strainer). You could also use a juicer.

2 c. water + water to 2 quarts
tea bags, 1 iced tea & 2-3 green tea(mix & match)
Warm 2 c. water & tea bags in small pan until steaming. Steep bags to desired strength. Pour tea into pitcher w/ ice. Add water to make 2 quarts.

Mix Raspberry juice & 1 quart prepared, chilled iced tea. Add sweetener of choice (Stevia for me) until you get your desired sweetness. Voila!
